I've been hit with bad capacitors multiple times in the past, and if this ever hits anyone else here, I highly recommend the many excellent resources (including a repair service, do-it-yourself info and fascinating background information on the origin and spread of the capacitor plague) at http://www.badcaps.net. I've saved a $700 Cisco switch using the BadCaps repair service. Bad capacitors… the plague of consumer electronics that refuses to go away.
