Gaming History: I’ve been playing games for as long as I remember. I got started in the early 1980’s with an Atari 2600 playing great games like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Moon Patrol, Food Fight (still my favorite game of all time), and also with crappy games like E.T. and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have owned about every gaming system imaginable, and if I haven’t owned it, I have at least played on it. I didn’t get into PC gaming until about 1998 when Half Life hit stores. A friend of mine invited me over to his house to check it out. I was stunned by the graphics. It was better than anything I’d seen on any console game, and was stripped of my virginity to WASD and mouse controls. It was a solidifying moment in my gaming history. I then saved up a bit of coin to buy a 3DFX Voodoo 2 graphics card to throw into my Packard Bell Intel Pentium 2 233mhz PC. Yeah…pretty sweet huh? Eventually I upgraded to something better with the help of another co worker who showed me the basics of PC building. I’ve built several systems since that time, and plan on building more. I still play console games, but like they say, once you go….well you know.

Likes: playing with my kid, pugs that don’t suck, getting into the grove while writing fiction.

Dislikes:plot twists that wind up going nowhere, traffic, misbehaving robots.

Gaming History: I’ve been playing games since Wizardry and Ultima on the Apple ][, but Everquest was my first foray into MMO’s. Team Fortress Classic was my first forey into online FPS games, so I’ve been doing it for a while. I used to go by “Chickenhawk”, but that name is always taken, so I’ve stuck to my randomly generated name from EQ. Gaming History: As a youngster my parents preferred me being outside rather than cooped up in my basement, but as soon as I was a proud owner of a N64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, they realized I was a lost cause. Growing up through the many GameBoy generations, I was always sprinting to the Electronics section of Target or Wal-Mart, looking for a new game to purchase (and of course by purchase, I mean with my parent’s money). I was your average console gamer until I randomly spotted Starcraft on my cousin’s computer. Within a month, I purchased it, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires, and many others. After playing my first MMO, Runescape, for a year, WoW then entered my life. Then came WAR, AoC, Aion, etc. Now, I’m here at Multiplaying, excited about my gaming future, and all of the great people I’ll meet along the way.
