CLICK CLICK, YOU DIED
A post! On this website!
I stay clear of Facebook as much as I possibly can. It’s filled with acquaintances from work and high school that I have nothing in common with, and whose updates make me shudder. I hate people! Except for you! I LOVE YOU!
You know what else I love? Dark Souls. It’s a game that forces you to go through the same environments countless times to defeat the same enemies, but one with which you will gain an intimate relationship with and know every nook and cranny of its world. It’s a game that can be seemingly unfair and punishes the simplest of mistakes, but also grants a massive sense of accomplishment when you overcome its obstacles. It’s also a game that I would willingly pay for again if I could play it on the PC.
Bad news, wallet! You may have to spill your green blood for the same game twice.
Even as badly as I hate Facebook, I logged in a few weeks ago to “Like” the Dark Souls Facebook wall in order to expedite the process of revealing what is rumored to be a PC release of the title. That wall hasn’t crumbled yet, but if the Germans are to be trusted at all, we may have our first glimpse of some of the PC exclusive content coming (hopefully) in August of this year.
With Bioshock Infinite and Assassin’s Creed 3 both dropping in October, a Dark Souls release in August may be perfect timing for me. I’ve not been too impressed with 2012 so far, spending most of my time playing games released last year, but it could just be the calm before a very aggravating yet enjoyable storm.
