I’m back baby! About that TOR podcast…
Well, hello there internet! I know I’ve been absent from this space for a couple of weeks now, but I’m back and ready to attack. Before I get back to talking about games though, I’d like to make an announcement.
First off, I’d like to say that it feels so much better to finally have my wisdom teeth out. They’ve been bothering me for years, but it was always a pain I could ignore. Now that they’re gone I can look forward to not having that little nuisance. While the pain of recovery has been a bit of a bother, and the main reason I’ve not been motivated to write or podcast, I’ve also been pretty swamped with real life “goings-on.”
The amount of stuff going on has had me thinking about my gung-ho attitude towards blogging and podcasting. I love doing this stuff, but I’m realizing that I have a tendency to get carried away in the excitement. I also love the community we have here at Multiplaying and I always feel a desire to feed the interest of the group at large. This desire has caused me to not once but twice start a secondary podcast and site. I always see it as a way to give us more exposure and pull more like-minded people into our fold.
Unfortunately, I’m kind of a dumbass. I never really take into account the amount of work that is required to do such things. The excitement I feel quickly turns into that feeling you get when you have to go visit someone in the hospital. You sort of have to do it, but…ugh…it’s a hospital.
So if you couldn’t figure it out, this means I’m taking a preemptive strike and canceling the Old Republicast show. While I think it would have been fun to some degree, it would have killed my desire to do the Multiplaying show at all and ultimately would have impeded my desire to play TOR. I want to enjoy it.
So, next time I get the idea to start another podcast, please yell at me! Until then, I look forward to just having fun writing at podcasting in this space. I hope you enjoy!

I for one would rather have one good podcast than two half assed ones. So this is a good call I believe.
Well, Multiplaying will always be kind of half assed. But…
Part of my issue was seeing that, yeah, the TOR show would probably not be consistent because of real life always being what it is. People who listen to game-specific shows tend to want more consistency. =/
Obviously, by one good show, I meaning to say one good half assed show. Thanks for all you do Steve.
I think we’ll be perfectly fine, if not better off, with just MP. Just put all of that enthusiasm into the next few episodes!

to hear that you had them around long enough to become a bother. Doesn’t seem very common.
Getting mine removed made for the 2 worst months of my life. The prescription they gave me didn’t last the 2nd night.
Woo! Welcome back and grats on getting those things out of your head!
I remember getting mine out. They were coming in horizontally, and each one had to be broken in half, lengthwise. Thankfully I was unconscious for the procedure, with the GOOD stuff.
