Two years of my life….down the drain. I mean, it’s great, really it is….if you like this sort of thing. But that means you probably wear socks with flip-flops, to.

So two years has come and gone since we started this blog. It still amazes me that anyone reads this site or listens to the podcast, so to all of you who do; thanks! With no real goals for what we’re doing, it’s easy to get lost in the “why” of this site, which is evident by my occasional post asking such. I have fun doing all this, but I probably would have quit if it weren’t from the amazing people I do it for.

We did, as you may know, try to expand our horizons a bit by starting another blog and podcast earlier this year with Rift Happens. While people seemed to enjoy the show, it simply added to an already full plate. I really loved doing the show, but taking care of it on top of doing an awful job leading a guild in the game just killed my desire be a part of it. But even with this negative experience, I am still eager to start another podcast.

There is no title, no website, or serious plans yet, but we’ve been kicking around the idea to start a podcast for Star Wars: The Old Republic. If we do, it won’t be until we’re closer to a release date (whenever that happens). The real trick is figuring out a way to do a show that works without killing my or anyone else’s desire to play the game. Though I think, given that we’re big fans of the series, we’ll be going into it better off than we did with Rift Happens.

Last year, if you remember, we changed the design of the site to something a bit more professional looking. We didn’t do it because we were trying to become a more serious site; we did it because we like pretty things. Thanks to donations from our members, we’ll be changing the look yet again (once I get a free day). It won’t be drastically different from the format you see now, but the new theme has a lot of nice features that will come in handy. Did I tell you we like pretty things?

I’m looking forward to another year of blogging and podcasting. I still hope to convince more members in our community to write for the site because I know we have some amazingly creative and funny people, but I also understand that writing just isn’t up everyone’s alley. So until I can change peoples mind, you’ll just have to deal with me.

Time to go put my socks and flip-flops on.
