The Podcast Needs Your Input

I’ve been trying to have a good mix of guest-hosts on the podcast. Maybe as a regular I’m incorrect with my theory, but I think that the great thing about our show is how varying our coverage is for games. Sure, we may not get the same bevy of listeners a game specific podcast would, but those who do listen (I hope) do so to just hear people talk about games in general. That and they love my sultry tones.

I also hope that our listeners enjoy the occasional interview we have. We’ve been fortunate enough to have some great special guests, but I’ve honestly done a horrible job at trying to get more people from the industry on, which is something I set for myself as a goal earlier this year.

Ultimately, I don’t care about hits or downloads, I just hope to be an entertaining part of this great group of gamers. But it’s from this group that I need help. I want to know who YOU would like to hear us interview. Drop a name or two in the comments, or tell us that our interviews are horrible and I’ll just try to get Uwe Boll on to ensure we never have listeners again.

Now, I can’t promise anyone that you suggest won’t be an asshole and/or too busy to be on the show, but I can promise I’ll make an attempt to have them on. Just keep it realistic. I doubt Nolan Bushnell would be willing to be on.

Although I DO have a lot of Chuck E Cheese related questions for him….

Well if you have an inside track for guests then I say go for any that will come on. I actually enjoyed Blue Kae more than the guest from MNC. I mean I like to hear from the bloggers or people that put together game sites more than a developer pushing his or her own agenda or product. Get some people from Gamespot, Kotaku or say Gametrailers, no one ever asks then to guest in a podcast unless it’s their own.

He’ll even more bloggers like Scary or Syp would be good. Some one should fill the gap that “Shut up We’re Talking” left behind.

Sorry sounds like I’m ordering a giant trash pizza, just put everything on. lol

Actually I’m with Oakstout, having people from the gaming ‘news’ industry itself would be really cool!

Input? Lets see… its all good really. I do wonder where that one lady-voice that’d be around from time to time has been. Never really learned who that was either :/

  • Oakstout says:

Of course having just found the show in the last couple of months I still think it’s pretty good with the co hosts you have and in no ways that me trying to suck up. lol

More guests, more chics and more bewbs!

  • Whiskey says:

Interviewing other bloggers/pod casters sounds like a good idea to me. Some cross promotion and an injection of different voices to mix things up a bit couldn’t hurt.

Hearing from the Torchlight dudes again might be swell as well.

    Cheers!
