Ironically I can sympathize with you on LotRO, Shannon. I’ve stuck with it over the years namely because of a gifted lifetime membership and a deep-rooted love for the writings of Tolkien. Cleaning under a dishwasher does often have more appeal than watching some gangly lookin’ elf kill his 10,000th boar (just what Tokien would want!)… I enjoy it enough to play it in spurts but it hasn’t felt like a “home” for me, something you all mentioned in this show to which I can relate to, in well over a year.

Re: TF2. I’d love to get on board with this. Steam has multiple packages, what would you all recommend?

  • Jimwise says:

Oh, and excellent show as always guys!

  • Aberrant says:

The Orange Box is a fantastic package, if you haven’t played any of the Half-Life 2 versions.

It comes with Half-Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 (expansion to the story), Portal (a fantastic single player shooter/puzzle game), and TF2.

If those don’t appeal, I think TF2 is 20 bucks, and completely worth it.

  • Winin says:

I’d go for the Orange Box, but only because it comes with Portal and Half Life for $10 more. Portal is one of those games that everyone should play.

  • Rer says:

Mass Effect 2 comes out January 26th, Day after Mai Burfday! :D

My brother is sort of irritated by WoW’s new LFG system. The reason being the “anonymity” of meeting some schmuck you’ll probably never see again results in everyone being ass-hats. Needing on gear they can’t even use, being jerk offs, etc.

Now if you’ll all excuse me, Saxton Hale requires more Demoman to be ‘xploded!

  • I’m listening now, and I just realized that “Kurt” is actually James Woods! Awesome! Now we have two celebs. Sorry, Alfred “Kaar” Molina, you aren’t exclusive anymore.

    Yea, that just happened
