Is Your Life Just One Big RPG?

I came across this link while reading an article on mmorpg.com about the impact of Facebook games on the MMO and gaming markets. Apparently, many of the traditional developers are offended and worried, as it seems they should be. I am not on Facebook myself; the opportunity to catch up with the few people I’ve lost touch with is not worth the possibility of coming into contact with all the people I’ve happily avoided all this time. Anyway, Schell talks a bit about the state of play, and how he sees that evolving in the near future.

Fun stuff, and infinitely more bright than the dystopian futures I was expecting from the likes of Gibson and Shirou.

I wonder if there will be cake?

What is that climbing up my stair?

It’s not a boar

it’s not a bear

but on its head it bears a horn

as big as any unicorn.
