Saying sorry for the wait and giving me my choice of a pre-order only non-combat pets is one thing.  Giving me an entire free month of gameplay is just going well above and beyond what most other companies would do.  Trion, from this point forward you have my utmost gratitude and respect for the work you do, not that you didn’t already!

  • What would be going above and beyond would be doing this for all the people who were hacked and experienced exceptional delays. I’m glad you were provided with this service, though. It’s very nice of them.

Yea, after posting I realized that this is sort of a slap in the face for those that didn’t get it. I agree that if you were hacked for a period of time longer than just a few days (As I know you were), you should also receive such a generous gift. :(

      • I’m not looking for handouts, but it is kind of…strange that they have been inconsistent in their responses to those who have been hacked. No big!

I don’t know. I’m still a little sad Zann won’t let me barrow his awesome scarf.

  • Wow, good show, Trion!

Its just nice that a company would make the effort to help out a subscriber. I’ve only seen this kind of service once and that was back in the early days of EQ.

Nice to see them actually helping customers and not ignoring them.

I wonder if anyone has seen any GM’s in Rift yet? Thats one aspect I miss about EQ is the involvement of actual GM’s in game. It was something cool to see one of them walking around in the game world and not some disembodied voice in a chat window.

  • Dachartach says:

Wow, that was great of them! Obviously they want to make a good impression, and maybe they’ll be sending more goodies/reparations to other hack victims soon. More excellent PR for the newcomer Trion Worlds! Those guys at that other company are probably having minor bootquakes right now. If not, they should be…
